Hi, i am Sourav shah, an eCommerce professional with a penchant for writing!
Having launched India's first online term plan in the digital space in 2010, that created a wave of eCommerce products in the insurance domain I have had a career spanning over 16 years in E-commerce,
I have worked across industries as diverse as Banking, Insurance, Retail, Food & beverages & Aviation with organizations like Trent Ltd, Domino's Pizza, Mahindra Finance, AEGON RELIGARE LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED, HSBC, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance & Bajaj Allianz General Insurance.

I have worked at 8 different organizations over a period of 16 years. At some I have worked for 5 years while not lasting for 5 months at others. But the journey has been one that has been of immense joy and learning!

As head eCommerce for one of the most profitable and awarded airlines in GCC, my role is centered around
Defining & driving the corporate E-commerce strategy business revenue and profitability by identifying strategic opportunities to
grow the online business
Own and manage Web User Experience across company web sites and microsites including design & aesthetics, content,
navigation, information architecture, performance and functionality
Aug 2018 - June 2019
Head of E-Commerce (Trent Retail, A TATA Enterprise)
I was tasked with Building an an E-Commerce platform for Trent retail and growing the digital revenue contribution to double
digits from the online channel within 3 years.
The role included working with Marketplaces like tatacliq.com to increase product contribution across 23 categories and create
an exclusive loyalty program for online customers
June 2016 - June 2018
Head Digital Marketing & CRM at Domino’s Pizza (Jubilant Food works)
This was one of the most exciting stints I had. As Head of Digital at Domino’s the role required me to grow their digital
business in India and we did grow rapidly in that period (147% in 2 years) I was responsible for heading P&L for the digital
channel and for delivering revenue targets, growing mobile sales, user retention, repeat purchases and managing their CRM
program
A large part of the responsibility was also to Improve UI and UX for digital platform
