The flight was scheduled for 9.15 & it was 8.50 & I was still 3 Kms from the airport

I was stressed beyond explanation & arguing with d driver, questioning his move to take the service road. I was traveling to attend a monthly review with our agency

I reached airport at 9. The flight was delayed by 20 mins so I managed to board the flight just in time, last guest

As I sat on my seat I felt something was weighing me down, bottling me up

I checked my heart rate monitor, it said 105. All the stress from this rush was such an happy, ugly feeling

I wondered if I could have avoided it!

What is the Worst that could have happened if I missed my flight?

I would have to buy another ticket worth 5k & inform the agency & apologise. That's all?

Would I pay 5k to avoid those awful 45 mins of stress?

Personally yes I would have & wld learned a lesson nt to leave home & rch just in time ever again!

I made a practice that day to always ask myself this question in ANY stressful situation

"What is the Worst that can happen"

Whether am late for a meeting or missing a campaign deadline I use this logic. But I also then ensure to take notes from such a situation & never let it happen again!

Life has been easier since then!

Not all problems are as large as we allow them to be
