Stolen ideas!

This was the 4th & final round of the interview for a Marquee brand that I was appearing for some years back

It was with the Marketing head who was this strapping young guy

I would have a dotted reporting line to him along with a line to the ceo

During our session we spoke about the digital potential in the country & what could we do together for the brand

One such discussion: He asked me, how woud I push App downloads. The brand sponsored a lot of music events & uploaded content on YouTube & Facebook

I recommend uploading snippets on fb & YT and streaming the entire version exclusively on their app & inviting users to download it

My 1st 3 rounds were very good so the consultant was very sure of me getting this. A week later she said, the marketing head had raised an issue so I did not get through

After a couple of months I saw ALL the digital ideas we discussed being run as campaigns by the brand & I couldn't help smiling

My learning was that sometimes you may not understand why you dint get through even if everything fell in the right places

It maybe because you may have made some people uncomfortable but that should never lead you to doubt your ideas or self belief

The limiting thoughts of others should not define you!

Your belief in you should be unwavering!
